The Lincoln Riley to Florida story was interesting.

He would not get a pay raise and walk away from a lot at USC. Is his ego that big that he thinks it is USC and not him? Oklahoma would have ended up with the same issues in the SEC because Riley is to arrogant to evolve.

Riley did better than expected this year. We’ll see if he can build off of it, but he’s not dead yet

He places no importance on special teams and has never recruited well deep in the trenches. Two things that will always have you watching the top teams in the SEC or Big 10.

USC’s schedule is brutal next year. He was going to be in the same situation Sun Belt Billy was in this year. Dead man walking. Going elsewhere resets the clock.

Jen Cohen also never hired him and who knows what that relationship is like

Funny how no one is playing his game this time. He burned many bridges with his stunt last time around.

I would argue the last two years is Riley evolving, but that he just doesn't have the "it" factor to make USC a year in and year out powerhouse, especially when it's a conference of Ohio State then everyone else.
