We laughed at LSU when they hired BK, but the LK hire deserves…

…at least some modest amount of respect. Clearly Saban and Smart both respect Kiffin at least as a football coach, despite his immaturity. There’s no denying that LSU just got more “dangerous” than when they had BK, and having another team’s greatest coach in modern history roaming your sideline deserves at least a shoutout (especially since LSU had been on the opposite end of that for so long).
There’s still a reasonable possibility that LK at LSU ends in a hilarious embarrassment, but it’s certainly not the most probable scenario the way BK was. Congrats Tiger fans…should be some fun LSU/Ole Miss games in the future!

Just look at the recruiting rankings. Lane can crush it here with the right staff. Kelly’s inability to hire the right staff is what doomed him. He had the top offense in the country and worst defense in LSU’s history one season, then a top 20 defense and the worst offense in LSU’s history in another. His 4 years here should be studied.

Maybe? Definitely know the current best coach in the SEC wouldn’t agree with that given he’s 0-2 against DeBoer and has never lost to Lane that I can remember
