Craft a Brew 1 gallon starter beer kits

I'm putting one of the 1 gallon kits on my family Christmas wish list and if I don't get it for Christmas, I planned on getting one just to try because it seems like fun and one of my favorite breweries has a beer on their website that I can make at home. Has anyone ever tried out this company for 1 or 5 gallon brews? I plan on storing it in a 128 oz mini keg that I got for nitro brew coffee but will replace the tap with one that is compatible to work with a CO2 tank. I don't feel like I can get too serious about this type of project as it's pretty hard to have expensive hobbies (i.e. upgrading to massive brewing kits that costs a several hundred dollars) but for a $50 entry point in the 1 gallon starter kit, I don't think it would hurt to give this a shot. The goal would be to eventually experiment and make some tropical/hazy IPAs, porters, and stouts.

It is a lot of work for 1 gallon of beer. If you like it, you will outgrow that 1 gallon kit pretty quick.
If you enjoy it, you can make beer better than you can buy at the store for about $5 per gallon
You gotta have room to store the equipment.
I have made approx 20 5 gallon batches this year so far. Let me know if you have questions.

Most of those beer kits are just plastic fermenter. I started with a Mr beer kit.
I would recommend getting a food safe 5 gallon bucket and lid. Order an airlock on Amazon. You can get all that for cheaper than the beer kit. And if you don't keep interest you can use the bucket for something else.

Brooklyn Brew Shop is the go-to for 1-gallon kits.
And yes, it can get expensive, though it's not as near as expensive as some hobbies. I've been brewing homebrewing for twenty years. You can keep it as simple or go as complex as you want. I brewed for years on a budget.
