Great interview with David Hood ( Swampers).

Good stuff. Thanks for posting. Very interesting when he was talking about the DI they used (direct box) and that it was built by a guy at the studio because there weren't commercial DIs yet.
I recently saw a picture of James Jamerson in the studio at Motown and he was using a homemade DI as well up there. In the pic below, you can see where they just attached the DI to the bottom of Jamerson's bass for a live gig.
