Can you recommend a 3D printer for a n00b under 350$

Decided this is what I would like for the me/family present this year. Seems like something my kids and I could enjoy and utilize and they could learn some valuable skills on it.
Now, right now I know next to nothing about them, but it does look like they could print board game pieces and miniatures which could be cool.
Also small machine parts.
Don't have a huge budget. (Changes at work meaning a hard candy Christmas.) but I think this could be a good big gift that we all get use and enjoyment out of.
Any suggestions? Want the best bang for my buck.

As someone who loves TTRPG, resin is the way to go. You can get .2mm nozzle for FDM, but you will never be happy with it like you will resin miniatures. Some people don't like resin because of the clean up, but water washable has made it manageable. I wouldn't recommend it so much for young children and you definitely need a ventilated area for it.
If you just want to try things and go with FDM, Bambu A1 with the AMS lite is the way to go for cheap and easy to use. It's mostly for PETG and PLA though, which is what most people will only use anyway.

I’d also recommend the A1. For a little more you could get the combo and have multicolor printing. Bambi Lab is great for beginners. Very user friendly. Great print quality and speed as well.
