Been swinging a 430 for almost 3 years. About 3 months ago it started making a totally different sound when hit. Took a few swings before I was really like “wtf?”. Looked at it and found a small crack on the outside/toe side about an inch back from the face. Continued swinging it for a couple months cause it seemed like it was hot hot lol. Never once seemed like the crack was affecting anything. Crack got bigger so I decided to inquire about it. Dam near no questions asked, took the head off the shaft and now I’m waiting for a brand new 440 head! The club was close to 3 years old!

Do you have to buy directly from Ping (or official retailer) to have the warranty?

Nope. Sorry, kinda left that out. I bought it from Edwin Watts. They’re the ones that mailed it in.

I bought a driver from Edwin Watts and did a warranty claim myself through Ping’s website. They gave me a label to print and mailed it back to my house after the repair.
