Why was he on the sideline in the second half at one point? Was having to watch the game on my phone with the volume off and never saw if he had gotten hurt or anything.

He didn't play the entire game. Was out due to injury as mentioned above.

Thought it was funny during the game that the TV broadcast panned over to Nic Anderson who was in street clothes (also wears #4) to let us know Delane was injured and wouldn't be playing.
Edit: Reminded me of Ryan Perriloux always making tackles on special teams back in 2007.
