Had an accident a while back and was paralyzed from the neck down.
One of my favorite players at Wake when I was first getting into watching CBB. Also on those loaded young Nuggets teams in the early 90s.
Explosive lefty 4 that people liked to compare to Barkley (because that's what people did to "undersized" PFs back then)
RIP big guy

Jamal Mashburn's story about Rodney and Larry Bird interacting at the Dream Team practices is always hilarious.

One of those great ‘90s role players like Cliff Robinson, who passed away several years ago now.

I remember him kicking arse at Wake Forrest. May he RIP.

In 2008, a life-altering accident left Rogers paralyzed from the shoulders down, yet he remained a powerful and inspirational presence. His perseverance, positive outlook and commitment to others led to the establishment of the Rodney Rogers Foundation, where he encouraged individuals living with spinal cord injuries and used his platform to promote resilience and personal growth. His story of courage continued to inspire the Wake Forest community and countless others across the country.
I had no idea he had an accident that left him paralyzed

"Young fella...look like '84, huh?"
One of the GOAT stories of the NBA.

He and Randolph Childress were tough at Wake in the early 90’s. About the time Duncan came through. Not sure if Rogers and Duncan played together.

No Duncan and Rodney didn't play together. Those Wake teams Rogers was on back in the day were fun to watch.

So sad. He was a huge reason why Denver upset Seattle in that historical 1994 playoff series.

ATV accident. Been huge in promoting safety after the accident.
