Women’s 6k race:

Story here is more so the individual race. Freshman BYU sensation Jane Hendengren looks to take a national title in her first try. Got to watch her run at Big 12’s a couple weeks ago and she’s absolutely insane. She will be challenged by Alabama Kenyan Doris Lemingole. Team race should comfortable be won by NC State but New Mexico and defending champ BYU look to challenge.

Men’s 10k race:

The story here is more so in the team race. Iowa St and Oklahoma St are the two clear favorites with New Mexico giving chase. I think Oklahoma State should win comfortably based on how they’ve handled Iowa State head to head the last few weeks but they can’t really afford a bad day from any of their 5. Individual race is pretty open with about 5 or so names in the mix.

It’s almost unthinkable the LSU women are respectable.

So ready for Shaver to move on. Need some new blood at the program.

LSU is bringing in Kenyans. Doesn’t take much when you start striking on Kenyans.

I noticed that too

Feels like the men and women haven’t been relevant in years. I’m hoping we go after Petros at Illinois when the time comes

As if Gans Creek isn’t challenging enough, it’s gotta be mush out there after 2 days of Londonish weather.

I know it’s NC’s, but it’s amazing the revenue these non-revenue sports generate. Town has been packed since Thursday, as a swim dad much respect.

My daughter attends the Catholic HS right across the street from Gans Creek which has become off-site parking for the weekend.

Only 5 Americans in the top 30. Terrible for the sport. It is trickling down to the lower levels too. Roster spots that should be going to Americans.

The course cutting in the men’s race was embarrasing. Every one of the guys that cut should have been disqualified. I wouldn’t tolerate that blatant cheating in a time trial at practice.

I have a kid that 100% should have made a D1 roster that’s signing with a D2 because no one “has room” for him. 15:14 5k 4:17 mile 9:16 2 mile and improved greatly year over year. He’s not an elite recruit but definitely good enough to make a mid-low end d1 roster.
