Anytime We Are Convinced of American Infallibility, Just Recall the Era of Freedom Fries

Great Britain refusing to share intelligence related to Caribbean drug traffickers is a painful reminder of March 2003.

France declined to co-sign the Iraq War adventure, so Congress struck back at the only target it could reach: cafeteria potatoes. Representatives Bob Ney and Walter Jones solemnly renamed French fries “freedom fries” and French toast “freedom toast” on the House floor.

For those of us who remember, it was hailed as the culinary equivalent of Normandy in reverse. Patriots everywhere rejoiced. For three glorious years, school lunches and Applebee’s menus taught children that geography is flexible and carbs can be rebranded for liberty.

Then reality arrived: no WMDs, thousands dead (and Bob Ney heading to prison for unrelated corruption). In 2006 the menus quietly reverted.

Thus concludes America’s most heroic symbolic victory: we owned the French by misspelling lunch. Next time someone insists American instincts are infallible, drive through Wendy’s and tell your kids “these used to be Freedom…”

We get it. You hate Trump.

You fit the profile of the typical guy who would side with the European Globalists, while completely ignoring the reality of how much damage fentanyl and other drugs are doing to America. Especially our young people.

We lost the War on Drugs a long time ago

And the WOD created the fentanyl crisis

You don’t have to endorse drugs to demand accountability in how American lethal force is used.

I would think all Americans, but especially the GOP, would demand this. Instead, anytime an independent thinker calls balls and strikes against the administration, they’re somehow treasonous.

This shows you miss the entire point of the thread, which is just because the President does it, doesn’t mean it’s lawful.

We should have learned that well after Nixon, but alas…

At 7am? Hardly. But I am of the Yasgur’s Farm generation that prefers an herbal respite to, say, alcohol.

What does that have to do with my anecdote? I don’t know if you were alive in 2003, but you can’t help recall the adage “history doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes…”

Nobody was fighting the war on drugs when the bastards you never criticize, Obama and Biden, were in the White House. But by all means, keep spouting your little mantra like it's Gospel (assuming you know what that word means).

Your ignorance of basic facts is showing.

Every admin since Nixon has fought, and lost, the WOD.

Biden's admin continued and furthered the same shitty policies of Trump1 that caused/amplified the fentanyl crisis, for example.

What laws do you think the President is violating. Be specific. TIA.

Facts? Dude, you constantly create your own "facts."

But, you keep doing you. Don't let your usual ratio of 90% downvotes serve as any indication of how well your "brilliant bullshite" is received here.

Murder.

What else can it be when you are trying to use the law of war to justify extra-judicial killing of alleged criminals without due process?

Every legal scholar who has been asked to weigh-in on whether drug traffickers can be declared “military hostile forces,” which would in turn allow them to be killed without showing hostile intent under rules of engagement, has summarily decided it is not a legally tenable argument.

Because it’s not.

I picture RFK hanging out with John Kerry asking each other for the Grey poupan and smelling each other's farts. A gay old time.

this is just not true. Your legal acumen is clearly zero.

Your TDS is so bad you are taking up for cartels. Amazing. You’re a complete moron.
