I have a brand new (not flexing) NS2. I want Madden but don't have the pateince waiting for it from amazon. They are backed up I think. I don't want to clog my memory in my switch by downloading it. In general I guess, I should probably get a stupid memory card.

My wife just bought my six year old one of these for Christmas. Is this a good purchase or outdated?

It's brand new, but she just dropped $450 on a six year old for the console alone. I'd return it and get a last gen game console (Xbox One, PS4) for far cheaper. He won't notice, and he won't be able to drop it or leave it at a friend's house to go missing, etc.

That's not how this works. Storage is different from the memory actually used to run the games.

Also the game is not on the cartridge. Just buy digital.

$450 for a six year old. You clearly have your kids' 529s fully funded.

I think it's fine. They won't have to worry about getting him another console for 5 or 6 years. He won't be complaining he can't play any Switch 2 games when he's 11.
