5000 here, 7500 there. Those are revisions.

70,000 fewer jobs PER MONTH is just out and out BS.

Abby Phillips sounds like she's deputy chair of the DNC.

When the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that 501,000 fewer jobs had been created between March 2018 to March 2019 than they had initially estimated did you say the Trump administration lied?

Simple yes or no answer will suffice.

Nope, it is not "whataboutulism".

I am pointing out the fact that revising employment figures is common regardless of who is President. To claim the administration is "lying", regardless of who is in power, is delusional.

There’s revision and there’s ridiculous. 818k is asinine. All revisions are not created equal.

On average, the initial monthly jobs figure is revised by about 41,000 jobs (up or down) in the next month’s update. By the third estimate, the total adjustment from the initial is ~57,000 jobs. Over a quarter, this scales to ~171,000 jobs total sample-based revision (not additive across months, as each month’s revisions are independent but can compound in quarterly aggregates).

They actually changed the definition of recession and even CNBC went along with it. I watched Squawk Box for years before going to work and recession was ALWAYS 2 negative quarters in a row.

Biden gets in office and for the first time in decades CNBC says it is an indicator but doesn't mean it is a recession based on that one statistic.

The wiki page was changed for recession and finally locked when people kept changing it back to the original definition.

The left will lie about anything and believe it is the 100% right thing to do just to attack Trump. The problem is they have now been lying for a decade and even when Trump is gone, they will just think in for a penny in for a pound a never go back to fair and balanced news.

The Obama administration absolutely lied a few days before the election when he was running against Romney. They caught them and they admitted it.

Most economist came out against the Biden administration when this revision was announced. That has absolutely never happened before. They cooked the books and they got caught. This was not “normal” revision.

So...your position is that the Trump admin lied about jobs numbers so they could be revised downward by half a million right as the next election season started ramping up?

Just want to be sure we're clear about the logic you're puking out here.

Nope, and FYI that’s a 37% difference. Some may say that is a significant difference.
