And 3 of them (Saban, Harbaugh, and Orgeron) are gone.
Yet for some reason, our fans think there are only 2 to 3 choices, or we are all screwed. Relax people.

I mean, at least one name on that list would take the job in one heartbeat

Reality is setting in that LSU isn’t getting Kiffin. That’s good, that’s healthy.

Well the guy who had the most wins just blew it in less than half the 10 years he was signed for

The issue is that there isn’t a “slam dunk” candidate outside of Kiffin. And to be completely honest, I’m not 100% convinced he is, either. And this makes fans really nervous. Any candidate is going to have flaws and require projecting what they can be, rather than just going off what they are.
There are some candidates out there with big upside potential, but the ones with the most potential could also flame out like Napier. There is going to be a fair amount of risk with anyone besides Kiffin.
Personally, I’m for taking the Dan Lanning route and looking hard at Glen Schumann. He’s been trained by Saban and Kirby through title runs at both Bama and UGA. There’s no guarantee he can be the next Lanning, but there’s no better training on how to run a program of LSU’s size than what he’s had. And he wouldn’t break the bank, so we could go all in on staff and NIL.
