Everyone calm down. None of these interviews mean anything! There is an extension on his desk at Ole Miss as we speak and he hasn’t signed it!
If he loved it so much and wanted to be there for years to come he would sign it today.
He is listening and interested or Jimmy sexton is going to pull off one of the best negations of all time.

The longer he waits to make his decision the better I feel for LSU. Hell, they might run him out of town before the 28th if he waits too long to sign the extension.

Only thing that worries me is timing. If lane is our guy it’s better to happen sooner than later for recruiting purposes.
All I know is if I loved my job and had no desire to go anywhere else, I’d sign that extension as soon as it fell in front of me!

I don't know what world people live in that thought a sitting HC would announce he's leaving before the regular season was over. The only instance I can think of was Jimbo leaving FSU before a make-up game with ULM. They actually played that game on conference championship weekend
Other than that, I can't think of a single time where that has happened. So why do people think this Lane Kiffin situation will play out differently? Outside him signing an extension with Ole Miss, you're not going to know anything until after the egg bowl at the earliest.

Sexton is working all 3 (OM, LSU, UF) and the feeling is LK to UF if LK decides to leave OM.

The more this information gets leaked and all this speculation is out there the better it is for Ole Miss. If Miles to Michigan never got leaked he would have accepted the job offer.

For everyone worried about "recruiting purposes" and getting a coach in a expeditious timeframe that is absolutely not going to happen. We need to prepare for that very truth. We fired a coach in the middle of the season. We are looking for the best available coach. That guy has a job. No matter who it is. If you want a big splash for this year's recruiting class hire coach O bc he is looking... Relax, we will get our guy.
