When they get it wrong, they usually just say “it was a done deal and at the last minute, this changed.” I remember the last couple searches way too well to get excited from anything on this board.

Yes but to be fair, it does happen. I was watching something recently where Herman said he was coming to LSU to sign in the morning. But the night before, UT gave him a great offer and he took it and pissed off a lot of LSU people.
So it was a done deal until it wasn't.
I'm sure this kind of thing can happen. Once they actually sign, everyone knows anyway.
