called a Guardian helmet , many schools use them in practice, in game extra protection for those that need or want it

Guardian cap which literally does nothing. Just a placebo thing

NFL teams use them. The Packers have at least 2 receivers that wear them in games. Other NFL teams have players that wear them in games, too.
