Anyone ever been? We will be traveling in the Northeast this summer and thinking of staying a few days on Block Island. I'm wondering if it is worth it.

why limit yourself to an island
islands in that area make for better day trips

Thank you. We are not limiting ourselves to just Block Island. Just wanted to know if it’s worth spending a couple nights out there.

I wouldn’t recommend spending days their
Make it a day trip at best

I would even skip it and stay in Newport Rhode Island
Another option would be cape cod area and woods hole

Where else in New England are you going?
Also, you can fly from Westerly in like 10 minutes, or take the ferry from Point Judith. Just note that the very last ferry back off the island is always a disaster full of wasted people coming from Ballard's.

Block Island is very underrated IMO. It’s definitely worth 1-2 nights. Spring House is my favorite place to stay. Morning/afternoon bike ride around the island is worth it.

The Cliff Walk in Newport is fun, but overall Block Island offers way more in terms of experiences. I’d also say it is way better than the Cape. In the Cape you drive from town to town in extremely congested conditions and feel like you’re in a tourist snow globe.
Block Island doesn’t feel nearly as touristy as the other places. In Block Island you really get a sense of the region and seems more authentic.
