We all know McConnell or any House leader pre-Johnson would have caved.

I have to admit, I thought the GOP would cave. They didn't. This is a new feeling for me.

Don’t kid yourself. There were negotiations and assurances given with the gov’t closed (contrary to what repubs have said all along) and you can bet we don’t know everything until they decide if and when to tell us. Is it a coincidence that the number needed was 60 and bingo 60 is what Dems allowed. Dems stick together. Always have. I think Schumer and others are acting and trying to save face.

Funny, because there was a thread just 1-2 days ago which claimed that Thune was ready to cave on everything. I guess that was fake news.

I don't trust Thune, but looks like he did okay on this

It is giving the dems and repubs another shot at extending ACA. SMDH
