He should have opted to go to a program that would let him flourish a little more. G-Town plays to much team ball for him to really show his abilities.

Any examples?

to each his own, i doubt we could beat GTown, they have actually played and beaten some good teams.

It's fun to speculate, but there is obviously no way to know what would happen. Xavier is better than Gtown in my opinion, and LSU gave them all they wanted despite a nine minute drought. I think it would be a good game, and I wouldn't write the Tigers off in this one. At the end of the day, LSU is the team on the rise, while Gtown is sliding out of contention.

This is a sad statement that sums up the current sports environment.

If I was a high profile basketball recruit and I knew I was going to be one and done to the NBA (assuming I had no family loyalties to a state school), my recruiting visits would be three places... UCLA, Miami, Hawaii.

LSU & Texas were both on his short list. Both would have given him more freedom to play. Would be special to see Monroe and Griffin at OU battle it out.

It's pretty apparent that his goal is to be one and done at the college level. IF he would have come to LSU, I doubt he would have averaged more than 14-15 points per game (I believe he's averaging around 13 at Gtown). Thornton and Tasmin were both obviously going to get their points. Former SEC player of the year winners Bass, Davis, and Swift didn't put up HUGE numbers their freshmen seasons at LSU.

My wife went to Georgetown, and is a huge Georgetown BB fan (no football to speak of for her to follow, so she had no choice).

From what she's seen and read, Monroe favors his left hand to a fault. Other teams not have figured this out, and he's not as productive on offense now as he was during the early part of the season. Because of the need to improve that part of his game, some are speculating that he might come back next year. Monroe's been silent on this, though.

As a team, G'town seems to have some sort of infighting/lack of cohesion going on. They played well earlier in the year, and now suck for some reason. Chris Wright (point guard) doesn't seem to be buying into the systems too much and at times plays selfish. Other players don't seem to like it. The coach has got some issues with that current mix players, that's for sure.

Although true, Monroe is a special talent that deserves to be showcased.

Don't understand why he didn't go out of high school?

The new rule requires them to be one year removed from high school before they enter the draft. Trust me, he would gone this route had it been a possibility.
