From p. 58 of the NCAA's report, just after it mentions that the wins from the 2004 football season are vacated:
"Regarding penalties C-5, C-6 and C-7, the vacations shall be effected pursuant to NCAA Bylaws 19.5.2.2-(e)-(2) and 31.2.2.3-(b) and shall include participation in any postseason competition, including football bowl games, conference tournaments and NCAA championships."
and
"Any reference to the vacated results, including championships, shall be removed from athletics department stationery, banners displayed in public areas, and any other forum in which they appear."
That's serious revisionist history.

It might change the bad mojo the team has had the last 2 years. I'd give it a shot.
re: JJ's Body Language / Facial Expression

The JJ that played in the bowl game against Georgia Tech had a different sense of confidence(swagger?)than the one that played in this year's Spring Game.
Different OL, too, I know.
He can get it back. Right??

I heard that the field needed new sod because of a host of recent high school games.
I was at the second of 4 of those state championship games. The field was in awful shape at the start of that 2nd game.
Either a new field or a huge repair job was needed.

Adam McConathy would warrant some serious consideration.
When I click on that link, I get the weather for Jan. 2?
A cold front of some sort is "supposed" to pass through late on Thursday or on Friday. Too early to tell if it will, when it will, etc.

Back to the future for UF???

I bought one in '05 and for this one, too. Don't know if they're "necessary", but they sure make it much easier.

I was at last night's game and I notice the exact same thing. With 2 more games today, the grounds crew has a whole lotta work to do before 1/1.
re: Jon Gruden

Michael Clayton wouldn't want to play for Gruden, for one. And more than a few other former Bucs players, too. Many former players were less than kind about Gruden when he left.
I have no inside sources, but some think that Gruden blows hot and cold too much with his players, that he puts too many in the dog house for no good reason and that his players don't play hard for him. These same folks think that Gruden won the Super Bowl in his first year, when there was still a good bit of the discipline left over from the Tony Dungy years.

I kept mine up year around . . . until it was stolen right after LSU beat Florida in 2007. I need to replace it soon!

Coverage sacks are beautiful things.
I'd love to see RS line up as RB, then throw a quick pass to him in the flat - get him the ball in space and see what he can do against a LB.
Without the celebration penalty on Green, Scott's TD run would've been 48 yards, not 33.
I live in Tampa and follow the Bucs a bit. Seemed to me that after his rookie year, Clayton both ended up in Gruden't dog house and never really clicked with any of the many QBs that rotated through Gruden's offense.
I hope the change in staff and QB will help Clayton become productive again.
But, like everyone else, I was surprised at how big a contract he landed.

re: Greg Monroe- regrets?

My wife went to Georgetown, and is a huge Georgetown BB fan (no football to speak of for her to follow, so she had no choice).
From what she's seen and read, Monroe favors his left hand to a fault. Other teams not have figured this out, and he's not as productive on offense now as he was during the early part of the season. Because of the need to improve that part of his game, some are speculating that he might come back next year. Monroe's been silent on this, though.
As a team, G'town seems to have some sort of infighting/lack of cohesion going on. They played well earlier in the year, and now suck for some reason. Chris Wright (point guard) doesn't seem to be buying into the systems too much and at times plays selfish. Other players don't seem to like it. The coach has got some issues with that current mix players, that's for sure.

MJR - Maybe you're right, but in my post, I was quoting the article/reporter, not Tulane's coach.
"The talent disparity is a difficult thing with which to deal. For example, Tulane has two players who bench press more than 400 pounds. LSU (4-0) has 75."
Here's the link to the Times Pic article from last year. Google is good.

What's more likely about where Miles will coach next year: (a) LSU; (b) UM or (c) Miami Dolphins?
My bet is (a), but after all that's gone on this year, even (c) wouldn't surprise me.

What about Charely Strong, the DC at Florida?
