I was going to keep this to myself but I cant have a fellow Tiger going thru this pain.
Was at volleyball camp with my daughter who was training with a girl committed to LSU.
Her dad said ShaqPhilly advised we were hiring a HC that look like Bobby Hill

It did. Normally I'd say the board "sources" fell flat but to be fair, I don't think any of the so-called legit ones claimed Saban was coming. They only claimed Saban was offered, which could still have been true. Verge isn't going to come out and tell the world Saban turned us down if that's what happened.

I personally think Verge already has an agreement with someone and that’s why he got elevated . It’s just a guess, but I would really like to think that it must be someone big for that to be the case.

I think it's the opposite. I think he got the interim tag removed so that we could get our guy, who was concerned that we had no consistent leadership. It happened very fast yesterday. The president gets hired, we hire a chancellor, then hours later Verge gets promoted full time. I think the guys in the know went to the prez and chancellor and said, "we have to do this asap".

The guy that called Brian Kelly two days before the hire claims Saban turns down the offer and we’re back at square one
