If you send the runner, does LA even risk throwing through with the tying run on 3rd? Would have had him going every single pitch, either straight steal or H&R.

Or squeeze; that play is so hard to defend - make them pull off the Tre

Also every swing needs to be an uppercut - One thing you can’t do is let the big slowpoke swing normally with the runner staying put.

Agreed on the squeeze. When the infield decided to play back, Kirk needs to lay one down and tie up the game.

You’d still likely have a man on second with 2 outs.

Letting Kirk swing away there is stupid.

Toronto baserunner was an idiot, he was closer to third base than Muncy.

That was bad base running too, have to be more aggressive both times.

Honestly how much time in spring training do you think they practice bunting? Let alone a squeeze where they have to get the bunt down or the runner is a dead duck?

Kirk wouldn’t have got a bunt down. I would have stole second though

How does a major league team make so many baserunning mistakes that even a high school team wouldn't make

Kirk's been one of their top contact guys the entire postseason, letting him swing away was the correct move
