Question regarding Gov Landry

Born and raised in Louisiana but I haven’t lived there since 2013. Is Landry a good governor, aside from the latest dealings with LSU? I see a lot of negative comments about him but I’m curious if that is only in relation to the BK/SW firing or if it’s his administration as a whole?
Again, I’m just genuinely curious and don’t mean to spark a political debate. What’s the overall consensus on him as a governor?

He is a wannabe Huey Long/Donald Trump buffoon. He focuses his attention on the stupidest shite and is one vindictive bastard if you are against him in any way. Really tight with the plaintiff bar (I'm told his son works for G-Man). Hopefully Garrett Graves runs against him.

How does he compare to previous governors? The majority of my family lives in North Louisiana and they seem to agree he’s pretty decent. My family in south Louisiana is not a fan
