It’s funny how every post about money says “our” or “us” as if everyone is wiring money to the buy-out fund as we speak.

Everybody is so concerned about money that isn’t theirs. “We can’t afford to buy out Kelly.” Doing this or that might “save us” some some of money. Who cares what it costs? If it would have cost $200 million to buy out Kelly I’d be perfectly fine with that. It’s not my money.

There are a handful of powerbrokers arranging this and they can always find the money.

We wonder why ticket prices and tuition are skyrocketing!

You ever bought tickets or parking passes before? Some of it is our money.

I think season ticket holders would collectively disagree with you.

I guess that’s fair but season ticket prices were going up before there was any consideration of paying Kelly to walk.

I’m so tired of the “it’s not your money” crowd. No shite it’s not my money. That’s not the point. I want LSU to be able to afford NIL, and a good coaching staff. Paying buyouts well into the 8 figures every few years just means they’re spending money they could’ve spent to build the team and hire expensive coordinators.

“I don’t care it’s not my money” is like saying “I don’t care if Whit Weeks is injured, it’s not my ankle.” It affects the team. I want to watch a good team.

If we wouldve known 1 guy was essentially gonna pay it all by himself i'm sure less people wouldve said we couldn't afford it.

And this attitude is why LA is 50th or 1st in everything.

I don’t know what this means. Are you arguing that we should settle for 25th, or 8th in the conference? There are people willing to pay a lot of money to not settle for mediocrity and you’re saying, hey pal, save your money so we can maybe be less mediocre in the future.
