***Taking out the drives where it was a kneel down to end the half***

30 Total Drives.

13 TDs and 2 FGs allowed. Only stops were 8 punts, 4 turnovers and 1 turnover on downs.

The other 2 drives were at the end of the game where we needed a stop against Ole Miss and Vandy. Both offenses drove down the field and would've scored but ran out the clock (Ole Miss had it in the red zone and Vandy was right at our goal line).

Teams converted 21/39 of third downs (53% conversion).

We have a very good defense. Not elite.

Yeah it’s been not great.

I do wonder how much of that has been a lack of morale after watching the offense piss away drive after drive.

Slightly above average is what you’re looking for.

Let's give Baker one more chance.

If you told me the defense had two take aways and two sacks against a qb like Reed, iwould say we win the game 9 times out of 10 with a half decent offense.

I was thinking about it yesterday, this is the major area where I think Kelly failed. Im pretty sure our DTs are taught technique pretty well, but our 5* DTs weren't pushing the pocket. I think it boils down to strength. They come in and push the pocket back and the QB has to pick a side of the field to evacuate to. If the DEs don't overpursue you have contained a mobile QB without blitzing. Oversimplification? Maybe, but i'm sure it makes a difference. Maybe i'm wrong.

A&M came out in the 2nd half and committed to running the ball. Our defense knew this, every person in the stands knew this, and they still couldn't be stopped.

When you know what is coming and still can't stop it, questions have to be asked. Is our talent less than theirs? Are our players not coached as well as theirs?

I think not having Whit on the field has hurt immensely.

I've seen enough from him dating back to last year. I'm good with cleaning house. They just can't stop any offense with a pulse.

This is not a very good football team ... both offense and defense..altho there are some excellent individuals. Somebody let the team get away ,,, guess who?

Bro, LSU had the lead at half, then wonder boy’s defense proceeded to give up 35 2nd half points. Blame the offense all you want, but the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed in the 2nd half.

Baker's aggressive style requires an offense that can score or control the ball.

It is going to generate chaos and give up big plays but also create turnovers

2025 LSU is the complete opposite of complementary football

Baker’s scheme is crap against mobile QB’s. You can’t have that in modern college football. He’s got to go too and will.
