I thought he just needed the players that he couldnt get at ND. He had ND in the hunt often but didnt have talent to beat the elite teams. So initially i was fine with the hire but,,,,, when that clown came to the MBB game and tokk the mic talking with a southern accent, i thought this isnt good.

My first reaction was “was Knute Rockne not available?” I wanted someone young & upcoming. Then as it went on, I convinced myself it was the best possible hire. Wrong lol. First reaction is always the correct one

I completely understand the reasoning behind the hire, coming off the two cartoon characters who our previous head coaches. Kelly was seen as a "no nonsense" business first type guy, who would bring discipline, professionalism, and consistency, because that was the image that was projected at Notre Dame. I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
