Coach Kelly isn’t the brilliant type who builds balanced and disciplined teams. Because of ego problems he, unlike lesser men who achieved greatness by surrounding themselves with smart and creative men, Kelly assembled incapable assistants who let him down.

Kelly blew his two biggest duties, hiring an O coordinator and hiring a D coordinator

He hired bad coaches but then stands on the sidelines and gets angry at them and offers no solutions. It’s as simple as that

Don’t stand on the sideline and bitch, he needed to actually do something about it

I had been feeling like he was throwing the headphones as a show, "Look how pissed off I am! I'm gonna fix this next year."

Classic case of not being perceived how you think you are.

You don’t think he was genuinely frustrated? He had to be.

I'm not saying he wasn't, but I think he wanted everyone to see it.

He started this when he fired Tommy Moffitt.

Kelly did not hold himself to the same standards he tried to impose on those working for him. That’s a house of cards.

Only thing that was going to save him was Underwood. When that ship sailed, I think he knew his days were numbered. I still don't know why he didn't at least try Van Buren. He might have won the Ole Miss or Vanderbilt game.

Like any CEO of a big business it’s about the people you hire to work for you. 2 years in he’s firing his whole defensive staff. Then when Denbrock leaves he doesn’t go hire a big name guy. He ran off Moffit. Let Raymond go then hired him back. Coach O couldn’t hire assistants either aside from Brady.
