LSU has some massive boosters, people you will never hear of. People who had no problem ponying up this buyout. This is the flagship university of a state with two of the largest ports in the world. If you think there aren't numerous 9, 10, and 11 figure people in LSU's fold, you are straight dumb.

We’re not as broke as we think apparently.

Who are these people? I've always been curious about the big money people beyond the Pennington family, Gordon, and Chicken.

Most people don’t know about the wealthiest people in this state. I am familiar with some of them, but none of the ones I am familiar with have any connection to LSU or LSU sports, so would be interest to know who is out there besides the few always mentioned, that are hardcore LSU folks. Also, don’t forget that a lot of programs have people like this, especially in the SEC. I still think LSU will struggle to compete with a lot of programs over time financially.

$25 mil but out compared to losing $75 million from concessions parking ticket sales next year is an easy choice

Not one dime of the buyout came from donors. The buyout was negotiated down to 25 million and it was paid athletic dept reserves.

I’ve been saying this for years. Just look at a picture of Tiger Stadium from 1999 and look at it now. We could have built a new stadium with retractable roof, massage chair seating, and gourmet restaurants with that much cash. Somebody who never gives their name gives a ton of money.
