Thank God for Warren Haynes and Derrick Trucks. They are fascinating to watch together. Check out “Soul Shine”
By Gregg Allman the live video.

Ok, Gov’t Mule.
Allman did release it on a solo album.
Thank you for the clarification.

Well, thank you for a different version that I saw. I didn’t realize the one you sent was under Gov’t Mule.
Anyway, “keep it southern fried, brother!”
Peace

No he did not.
Written by Warren Haynes. First recorded by Larry McRay. Later by the Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule. Also covered by several others.
Never solo by Gregg Allman.

DAC had a pretty good version too. I think I've seen the video of the live recording but couldn't find it on YT.

I was lucky enough to be perched on the front barricade for the last Allman Bros. appearance at Jazz Fest in 2010. Guitarists were Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks (sitting with his foot in a boot/cast).
Greg was in fine voice that day.
It was beautiful.
Sort of relived that when the Allman Betts Band came to the Saenger a few years back with their "Allman Family Reunion" tour.
