Forgot he died. Movie has been playing on all kinds of channels. It isnt a great movie like Shawshank Redemption is, but it still is a great movie.

All great one liners by the greatest Jackie Gleason. It was reveled he ablibed most of his lines in this movie. Truely a comedy classic from my childhood. I remember seeing it for the first time at the old Algiers Drive in. Great memories from the 70's.

Saw it at the Robert E. Lee on Plank Road....(long gone). This was the premier movie watching location in BR in the mid-70s.

Part II was not remotely as bad as part III. I think part three was the greatest raping of a franchise ever. Maybe Caddyshack II.

There is a site with then and now shots of various scenes around Georgia where the movie was filmed. My favorite was the warehouse where Snowman and the Bandit picked up the 400 cases of Coors. It is now an art gallery (!!!!!)
