Watching replays of games … I wonder … I don’t reeeealy know.

Can interior linemen even play offensive tackle? Is this as different as it looks?

Looks like to me, it’s totally different. Kinda out on an island a little, a lot more movement required to block edge rushers.

I heard a lot last year how DJ wasn’t really center, that’s why he struggled a little bit.

Tackle seems like an even bigger stretch for an interior lineman.

In an effort to simplify it, Tackles have to have better footwork do deal with faster pash rushers and you'd want them to have a longer wingspan to be able to keep the defender from getting their hands on the tackle. IOL need to be more stout to defend the bull rush and to get a push on heavier/stronger run stuffing DTs.

Chester is kind of a tweener. Tall, long, and plays with too high of a pad level for C, but isn't long or agile enough for tackle. This would mean he should be a solid guard, but being soft as charmin doesn't help him either
