I'm seeing a lot of smoke on social media about GLOCK halting production all but 3 models

43, 43x and 48 will still be produced until the "V" model comes out. It will have a modification that wont allow a switch to be added. Also, V model wont be MOS at first either.

If I was in the gun manufacturing business, I would voluntarily make modifications to my design in order to prevent someone from easily turning it into a fully automatic weapon.
It seems like a logical step without the pressure of politics coming into it

I have a hard time believing a company who supplies LE/military all over the world, is owned and operated in a foreign country, and who makes switches for their own guns themselves is going to cave to one state.

Glock is not halting all production, but is discontinuing a significant number of older models to streamline manufacturing and focus on core products. This includes the Gen 4 line for the U.S. commercial market and several other older or less popular models, such as some long-slide versions and pistols in less popular calibers like .357 SIG and .45 GAP. Existing inventory will still be available, and Glock will continue to provide parts and service for discontinued models

This is interesting. My only guess is their COA model might take over. Did I miss something?
ETA: The 47 is supposed to be taking the place of the 17.
