Something that no one on here is talking about, next year is a complete rebuild

It took 20 million to get to 6-6, 7-5 or whatever we end up counting the Indy or Texas bowl with this year with all we had coming back, it will be 30 million or more in NIL to field a competitive team with these clowns at the helm. Probably be 50 million a year to win 8 games with the overall level of incompetence with these mfers. They need at least twice the talent level to overcome their shittiness. That's a year Beau. Firing that mfer now is the fiscally responsible move before he digs a hole that's 100 million to try to get out of.
Sunk costs are sunk, and more mfers go under trying to protect or recover them than anything else. It's time to rip the band-aid off and be done with this shitz

Next year’s schedule is rough also
Posted on 10/19/25 at 2:12 am to TutHillTiger
I think we go 5-7 next year and part ways with him
Posted on 10/19/25 at 2:13 am to TutHillTiger
That is precisely why we need to fire this stupid apathetic frick.
The level of excuse making from him next year will be historical. He will say the new team needs a few years to gel and blah blah blah. Fans are impatient blah blah blah. All while still sitting on a $40 million buyout in 2026. Got damn I want to fight that fat frick Woodward

Transfer portal QB can make all the difference look at fernando Mendoza.

The problem is we have way more issues that just the QB position, I think the boosters just need to relax and quit blowing money on Kelly teams, it's a waste
Posted on 10/19/25 at 2:23 am to TutHillTiger
I don't know about that but Kelly will have to replace some players. That's obvious.
Evidently he has little faith in Van Buren (Insert shoulder shrugging emoji here) but I can't see him being the heir apparent to Garrett.
I get it, the portal and all that but this was LSU's best chance to get to the playoffs. I'm not saying we're out but uh..... I see what everyone else is seeing.
You can bring in the most talented players but if they aren't cultivated, taught how to utilize their talents, it does little. You get these results.
That's where we're at. Especially on offense.

In that case it sounds like a complete rebuild. The next coach will have to be a competent program builder. Funny that’s what I thought BK was when he was hired

Damn, who? Whos elite? I don't see that guy outside of Oregon qb.
Posted on 10/19/25 at 2:50 am to Jimmyboy
we just need a you hungry guy, I have zero confidence in Woodward though

Jordan Travis deserves about half of Mike Norvell’s buyout

Woodward has dropped the football program to the level of South Carolina / Kentucky. Welcome back to the Mike Archer days.

Yes in deed next year looking real ugly.

The AD is the first one that needs to get his arse fired.
Woodward screwed A&M with Jimbo Fisher and did the same to LSU with Brian Kelly.
Woodward is the biggest problem.

We have people seriously talking about spending $150-200 MILLION spread out over a decade to fire the coach! Nine figures of debt hanging over LSU's head for 10 years with no guarantee you aren't faced with a $200 million buyout when the next guy falls flat in three years?
It took 20 million to get to 6-6, 7-5 or whatever
What does it say when the poorest state keeps squandering this kind of money over a kids game? It's embarrassing, give it up already.

8-4 was the expectation this year with a brand new O-line, unproven running game and lack of a game changing receiver.

Yes, at this point, next year is probably a 7-5/6-6 type of season. Not a surprise at all.

Letting Woody have any input in the next coaching hire would be a colossal frick up by LSU
