We’ve been having a lot of random power outages lately and since moving out of LA I don’t see the need to drop the money on a generator install.

Lowe’s currently has these on sale for half off the Jackery power stations, anyone have any experience with these? Do they actually work?

They work great for what they are. You aren't going to run a whole lot on a 1500w. A few hours of a tiny window unit, or keep the fridge on for a bit.

Ok it would be mostly for box fans and sound machines at night for the kids. I’ve seen dewalt and the other tool companies have smaller ones that run off their batteries, feel like the problem would be making sure you had one charged though on a random night it goes out

Assuming the box fan draws 100 watts at full speed then the unit you linked will run 1 fan for about 10 hours. Or 2 fans for 5 hours. Sound machines negligible.

They make battery operated sound machines that will run forever on AA batteries for a lot less...

You get free sound machine when running the fan, no additional power required.

Haha yes true, wasn’t thinking the other morning clearly.

Thanks for the info, so I would likely need the bigger model to run a couple of box fans through the night, appreciate the help!

The bigger model is 2200 watts. We have some of the battery powered sound machines or even phones and iPads, was more about the fans and charging stuff, wasn’t thinking clearly the other morning obviously.
