So I finally watched Re-Animator

I’ve read the short story it’s based on and love it. One of my favorite lovecraft stories (I know that’s an unpopular opinion). And I know this movie has been built up for years and I just kept putting it off for some reason.
I finally watched it last night. And it was ok. I don’t get the overwhelming love the movie gets. Barbra Crampton is hot. It is kinda gross. Some fun over the top character stuff. But nothing that has t been done better. I vastly prefer From Beyond if you’re talking about Brian Yzna.
Night of the Creeps imo is the overall best of these movies that combine humor and creepiness

I loved Re-Animator back in the day. Jeffrey Combs best work. Is it streaming somewhere?

I watched it on Prime. Don’t remember if it was free or I rented it
