According to Scott McKay, Bell showed up at Rayville HS on signing day dressed in LSU attire. He then went inside and changed into crimsoneck clothes. Can anyone confirm this? If true, that's really kind of chicken shite on his part. There is no excuse for trying to rub salt in the wound.

McCay is also trying to confirm that Bell is going to be asked to grayshirt at Bama. McKay says there's no "angrier person on the planet" than Bo Barton the head coach at Rayville. If true, McKay says, Saban is going to have trouble recruiting on the I-20 corridor in North La.

There must be just a misunderstanding. Saban woudn't lie, would he?

That's some awesome justice for Bell.

I'm just fine not getting him, even with not getting Benton as well.

We should pick up on Trovon Reed next year and grab up another good prospect.

We are going to have a job making everyone fit any way.

I honestly feel he's a wasted scholarship and roster spot had he signed w/ LSU. LA puts out WRs at least as good as him ever year. Had he not been a LA/Rayville kid, he wouldn't have had an offer in the first place imo. The greyshirt rumor, if true, is evidence bama feels the same way.

I'm with Books. I didn't sweat Bell really at all except on principle.

If he grey shirts then he is not too smart, neither are his parents. I think he would have had a much better chance of playing with LSU, IMO Saban signed him just becuase LSU would not have him.
Oh Well I am happy with our young men.

with the depth at LSU? doubtful. his only shot at playing is at Alabama where the only WR that exists is Julio Jones.

as I've been saying since the start of the '09 class, he can thank Tolliver for his recognition.

8 Julio Jones | 6-4, 210, Fr., HS
82 Earl Alexander | 6-5, 216, So., 1V
19 Chris Jackson | 6-1, 190, Fr., HS
11 Brandon Gibson | 6-1, 192, Fr., RS
4 Marquis Maze | 5-9, 167, Fr., RS
80 Mike McCoy | 6-3, 199, Jr., 2V
15 Darius Hanks | 6-0, 190, So., HS
1 B.J. Scott | 5-11, 188, Fr., HS

couple that with this year's haul

Kenny Bell WR 6-1 160 - 5.8 Rayville, LA
Michael Bowman WR 6-4 206 4.5 5.9 Rossville, GA
Kendall Kelly WR 6-4 210 4.45 5.9 Gadsden, AL
Kevin Norwood WR 6-3 180 4.55 5.9 D'Iberville, MS

that's a bunch of receivers right there.

He may play at Bama, but will mostly just be blocking. With Bama's QB situation I see them throwing less this year then last. And when they do it won't be to Bell.
