The BK constant hate is garbage. You have no other proven other coaching option. The players made key simple mistakes (Johnson’s fumble, Nuss pick, Hilton drop) that prevented an easy blowout on the scoreboard. In this new era of college football it takes so much longer for a team to gel with the portal and NIL. It is frustrating at times, especially with short yardage play calling that will hopefully improve. The team looked its best and the same haters will be loving LSU after these next 2 wins.

Hate. I think that not a few of the faithful are very disappointed in his production. It’s not personal

100% agree with pretty much all of this.

If you are happy watching the same exact football game the last 4 years then good for you.

The rest of us want to see something from all of the athletes that have chosen LSU for the collegiate football careers.

Can’t wait for 2027 when we can get rid of CBK.

The portal is not supposed to make your team gel slower….it’s supposed to be the opposite

This. He was sold as a plug and play NC caliber coach. His offseason decisions have been questionable since he arrived at LSU, and that has resulted in him not fielding a complete team. Then his gameday prep has also been questionable, with the team often looking unprepared to play, even if they eventually pull it together and win.

It’s not really hate……

Very similar to Absolute and Total Disgust

Just because you don’t like his coaching does t mean you hate him. He seems like a pretty decent guy but I do not like him as our coach

Man you're in for a shock when you find out that most portal signees only have a year or two at most before they leave. A 3 or 4 year portal signee is a unicorn.

LSU's last 3 head coaches have won a national championship in their first 4 years. How long should Kelly be given before the fans are allowed to hate him?

It’s hard to judge, cause Nuss just looks different , whether it’s injury or psychological. We were supposed to get the high octane offense and an improved Defense, and we only got better on Defense, so the expectations game was totally destroyed. Yes, that falls on Kelly, whether warranted or not..

The hate might be over the top, but Kelly's personality plays a part in that when he is questioned (and for good reasons) and gets all upset. Calling people spoiled, blowing up about a simple question concerning a clearly struggling running game, etc., don't win fans over.

He has done a great job stabilizing the program, but in year 4 with an experienced QB, people want to make the playoffs. That's not unreasonable. And we haven't looked like a playoff team.

With that said, we are ranked #10 and have a shot to make it this year despite how we have looked on offense. And Kelly has recruited well and given some of his own money to help the cause, so the hate is a bit over the top at times. But winning meaningful games is the bottom line and he needs to win more of those this year to get back in good graces here. It's not unique to LSU.

His game day prep and in game decisions are middling at best imo.

Understood and it’s been a slower start this year than expected due to mostly injuries. This is obviously the best team Kelly has had and I think it’s no reason not to believe this teams wins the next 2 games and competes at bama (I think lose) and wins out to be a top playoff teams. This team will obviously rely on a healthy Nuss to take us as far as we can go. The talent is there and I believe coaching can get it done. No reason to wish firing and constantly complaining for some magical coach that can just be that guy.

Oh Nuss’s play also has a lot to do with it. No doubt. How a kid can go into a year with a chance to break Hodson’s record which has stood for 40 years and a first rd rating and NOT play with a fire under his arse has me baffled as well.

But this goes back to the offensive play calling to last year. Remember the aTm game? The runs up the middle on 3rd and long trying to eat the clock and letting them get BACK INTO THE GAME?

Does anyone remember “this is great! He’s an offensive genius too! We finally have a coordinator as a head coach!” bullshite we heard during his hiring?

The guy can’t do it. Trust me on this. He will not win a championship here.

Always the bridesmaid never the bride.

Good riddance.

To be fair, I think he fumbled the Nuss injury. lol. He should have sat one or more games. I still have serious misgivings about Nuss's ability to make good decisions almost all of the time.

Let’s be honest. 2 of them were half retarded.

One won one and played in another.

The other assembled the single greatest collegiate football team ever.

You do realize there was a 12 year gap between NC’s, right? (2007 & 2019). Why does Kelly have to win one in 4 years?
