Hosting foreign forces for training purposes is nothing new. In the early 1990s I was stationed at the US Army Armor School at Fort Knox, KY as a tank gunnery instructor. We had soldiers from all over the world going though training there. They even had these badges they’d wear on their uniform to show their corresponding equivalent American rank. I remember you’d see a guy walking to class who looked like a field marshal but when you looked at his badge, he’d turn out to be an PFC.

For fricks sakes, we've been training foreign air force pilots at US bases since the end of WWII. There's absolutely nothing different about this.
