I am aware that I cannot hunt squirrels from a boat that in under power. I have been told that when I am moving in my boat, I have to have my guns in a case. I honestly have been told many conflicting things. Please clear things up. Thanks.

Guns in case if under power from motor. And until all momentum from the engine has ceased and boat is at a dead stop.

Then you can break out the gun and the paddle. Boat can be moving under influence of a paddle while you're hunting.

Can you use a lure to catch a squirrel on a lake?

Hang you nuts over the side of the boat. Squirrels like nuts.

I have been hunting squirrels for years while using a trolling motor.
I had no idea I was breaking the law.
Definitely never had my gun in case while under power.
Favorite spot is behind a golf course in Baton Rouge.
Small miracle I never got busted.

Just saw the other thread. Apparently I not the only one who does this. Feeling better about it!
