Mexico flights

Been going to Cabo for 20 years. Booking flights this year for 4 people saw taxes and fees around $900. Whats up with these flights costing so much? Looking around online its like $2200-2600 for tickets. Never been this costly to fly a few hours to MX!

Just fly to Europe, Central America, or South America for cheaper.
If you're booking through the same airline you always use, and not from a private browser, everywhere you search knows you take the same trip, the same time, for 20 years, and therefore are price insensitive. Try ITA Matrix from a private browser window, along with other similar destinations.

Anytime I look for Cabo flights in cash they seem to be stupid expensive.
Thankfully I usually find cheap award seats that work for me to avoid all that.

It's not just Mexico.
I go to Ensenada every December and just flying into San Diego this year is $200 more a ticket.
