I'm a little confused about all this talk from these national sports pundits concerning LSU's recruiting gaining from a national championship we won in '07.

They call it the 'National Champion Bump' whereby you win a title and you benefit in your 2nd recruiting class thereafter. Do you really think that is the main reason we had such a solid class? I'm thinking it takes away from the fact that Les is a great recruiter. Am I wrong about that?

I HONESTLY THINK PEOPLE REMEMBER THE O3 AND O7 DEFENSES WHEN THEY THINK OF LSU!!!

But that's just me.

Miles has had highly ranked recruiting classes. To have won a NC only shows that these classes were the real deal, and that he can coach as well. The "bump" means a NC gets the attention of some OOS players who want to be a part of the next one.
