Apple added this original movie yesterday based on the 2018 Paradise, CA wildfire. It’s directed by Paul Greengrass who also directed United 93 and Captain Phillips. Pretty good reviews so far with an 87% Critic and 92% Audience RTs.

Watched it last night. Pretty by the numbers, but enjoyable.

If you’re interested, Bill Plashke wrote a book about the aftermath of the fires and the Paradise high school football season that followed. Some very sad stories of kids who lost loved ones and all possession but come together because football and their team and teammates are all they have left.
It’s called Paradise Found .

Just watched it. It was cool. Didn’t feel like 2 hours. That getting shite off his chest because it’s looking like we might die scene talking about his dad towards the end of the movie kinda surprisingly got me. That was a moving scene

Listening to what is probably a 23 year old (the guy in the creek, Utility) be more collected and succinct that most of our public figures was disappointing, but expected.
