If there's no significant improvement against USCe?

I'm not suggesting MVB is better than an injured NUSS, simply wondering what it would take for BK to try something different.

MVB is taking first-team reps this week under the guise of resting Nuss. Does that mean something?

5 downvotes Just to clarify, it means they are restin Nuss and nothing more

I would never wish harm to our starting QB but I almost want Nuss to be out for a serries or two so that we will have to see MVB. I think once he comes in then BK will have no other choice than to play him because it will be obvious to everyone that he is the better option at the moment.

Then again, I hope I am wrong and Nuss is able to right the ship and lead us to the promise land!

BK does not change QBs in the middle of the season unfortunately, unless the QB cant play

Weren't we told that MVB had packages in the offseason built into the offense? Or am I making that up?

Maybe but probably not.

He wasn’t throwing MVB in a road game where we’re losing in a high pressure situation. Now if we’re down at home against SC (an opponent we should beat) & the offense is still struggling? Maybe it’s more tempting after he got more reps in practice.

Nuss will 100% be the starter against SC, but imagine the crowd reaction if we see MVB come in for a series

He had 2 QBs playing in 2014. I know that bc they both played in the bowl game vs LSU

It appears he used multiple QBs often at ND. Maybe you don’t know what you’re talking about

Nuss's status with all this ab strain stuff would have to get much much worse apparently for BK to even consider making the switch. I think some on here are ready for MVB regardless of what is happening with Nuss, but you have to look at the Ole Miss game and recognize that if Nuss had his usual ability to stretch the field, then we win that game or at least put up a sold passing output.

Watch Aaron Murray's film study on Nuss from this week. I'd say overall it was a positive film study outside of the moments where Murray noted that "something is off" with Nuss in regards to his ability to push down field.

All the way to the bottom, because I think he's ready to get fired and collect the rest of his money, and Nuss got four million to run the ship aground . Don't think either one of them will do the right thing.

Imagine the crowd reaction if the offense goes 3 & out on the opening drive with Nuss.

He did it at Notre Dame in 2018. ABK replaced Brandon Wimbush with Ian Book in game four after Wimbush had led Notre Dame to a 10-3 season in 2017.

It was not an injury, and Notre Dame went to the CFP vs Clemson, where they lost

I don’t wish for an injury either and I’m not just virtue signaling when I say that. But at the start of the 3rd quarter against OM, I found myself hoping Nuss would throw 2 quick INT’s, he would surely be benched after that, so we could see MVB and hopefully our defense could stop them from capitalizing on a few turnovers.

Do a tiny bit of research.

Brandon Winbush started a full year for BK in 2017. The next year he started the first 3 games, looking terrible, so they benched him for Ian Book. Book played the last 9 of 10 games, but missed one because of injury. In those 9 games he threw for 2600 yards with 18 TDs to 7 ints. He also ran 95 times for 280 with 4 rush TDs.
