Well isn't that convenient, the exact window of UT's relevancy in college football. Note the window closed in 2007.

nobody gives a shite about your crappy stats. your team sucks and everybody knows it. I look forward to the next time we play you guys. I also can't wait for our guys to break JJ in half. I hope he regrets this day for the rest of his life

I have to deal with you delusional fans all the time because of where I live and now I can't even get onto this site to talk about LSU football without you losers getting on here as well.

So what has it been from 1998-2008?
Wouldnt you agree that would be ALOT more meaningful? Since it would have more bearing on where those programs are today NOT 20 years ago?

No, Heath Shuler is relevant to Tennessee football today.

b) Miles has a rule of no visits after committing which he broke for Jackson. Jackson could've been a man and told Miles he was considering TN so we could move on and look for another DB.

While that definitely is an alluring proposition for Mr. Jackson, I somehow don't think he will be losing sleep over this.

I wish the guy luck! He shouldn't have lead everyone on and waited until the day after national signing day to make the announcement!! no class!! we can only make him regret it with some sec championships and another national title!!

Personally I could care less. Use whatever years you want. It's still a dumb statement to say you can't get to the NFL if you choose to play at UT. You can play for any SEC school and have a great chance to play in the NFL.

Honestly I dont care where the kid went, but if you KNOW your not going to LSU weeks in advance..why the hell dont you inform the LSU staff...
Posted on 2/5/09 at 5:16 pm to rockytophigh
I think what most people are trying to say is that he might not become what he could be which would be a physical man corner.. and since Ut is going to mainly run cover 2 or some form of it that he might not reach his full potential.

Sorry for the late response. Let me clarify myself.
First to the Vol. fan lurking: How many football players have your current staff put into the NFL? Oh wait, they were just thrown together two months ago after your embarrassing 5-7 season. (which includes your loss to Wyoming) I just don't see the dinosaur fossil (AKA Monte Kiffin) developing your new defensive recruits into NFL prospects, or even living long enough to see his players graduate. Janzen Jackson made a horrible mistake by turning his back on what Chavis and Ron Cooper COULD have made him. Instead, he is now being developed by someone who should be in a retirement home.
Next, to the Buckeye lurker: I stated Janzen Jackson is a POS because he verbally committed to us almost a year ago, and before today he was interviewed several times in the past few months and he kept stating how confident he was about becoming a Tiger. (I think it was 95%?) However, according to his most recent interview, he decided a couple months ago that LSU was not for him after Peveto left because of the bond they had. If he decided that two months ago, he should have not led on the entire LSU staff this long. Miles & Co. could have spent more time recruiting other DB's like Myles Jr. Instead, he decided to wait until the day AFTER Nation Signing day to announce that he was never feeling LSU. (screwing our chances of picking up another recruit) To add to that, Janzen stated yesterday that he hadn't signed his LOI to LSU yet because he wanted to wait for his mother to get in town. He used his mother as an excuse to personally screw over LSU the day after National Signing day, and to add some excitement to the Tennessee Vol's. This guy has been lying to Louisiana for the past few months, used his mother as an excuse to switch teams the day after NSD, and screwed over Les Miles and the rest of the staff at LSU. So, I hope this brings some clarification to why I think Janzen Jackson is a POS.

Vols win a few recruiting wars and they think they should be considered in the elite of the SEC. What they did win was the scorn of the entire SEC. I think Kiffin and the VOL's are on everyone's hitlist.
Who knows what kind of booster money or lies Kiffin promised players but it must have been worth it. Picking a 5-7 squad who has gone downhill since 1998.
