So 2027 would be a season on the weird 4 year cycle where LSU competes for a national championship.

2015 and 2023 we did not compete seriously, but the national championship was not in New Orleans.

Since 2003, every time the national championship has been in NOLA, LSU has competed in the game and won 3/4. Coincidentally all of those games were on a 4 year cycle (not a surprise from 1998-2013 when the BCS had a consistent cycle). With the new bid style championship game, we now have an opportunity to win a 2nd national championship, in New Orleans on the same 4 year cycle as the others, without it being a regular thing.

This is one of the weirder parts of college football to me.

We aren’t going to a championship as long as Kelly is here. He will not adapt to fit this era

Peyton Houston is the best QB in that class. Averaging close to 400 yards passing and 100 yards rushing per game against the likes of West Monroe, Neville, Byrd, Shreve, 5A, etc. 4,500 yards passing and 750 yards rushing as a Sophomore. 40 TDs, 6 INTs. 70% completion rate, 11 YPA. 7 YPC. 7 or 10 rushing TDs.

This past week he put up 460 yards on 27 passing attempts against Airline. His numbers are literally video game numbers, and it's every single week. Like he set a national all-time passing record in a game with 820 yards passing in 1 game against Shreve. He had 350-400 passing yards each game of the prior 2 weeks vs Byrd and Natchitoches Central.

To put into perspective, neither Elijah Haven or Little Nuss had over 1,900 yards passing last year. Peyton lapped them by 1 and a half times. Peyton is Jayden Daniels albeit shorter (but he's 16, you never know how tall he'll get, maybe 2-3 more inches).

I think he will lead this team, unfortunately that is his true freshman year.

The way they're playing at this point the only way for LSU to get there is to buy a ticket.

This has nothing to do with our problems.
