not the same zip, not the same pocket presence, not helped by the playcalling, just not the same qb

35 yard ROCKET wrist flick "the gun by Garret Nussmeier" to Malik for TD

60 yard bomb to Malik

33 yard TD to Jaray Jenkins

Q4 highlights - some amazing passes and tight spots

294 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception in one half against a STRONG georgia D... not just a fluke game

Look at the INT yesterday vs. ole miss - clean pocket, pass wobbles, camera easily follows the ball, Nuss acts surprised - this is what we've been seeing all year.

If Nuss can't sling it like 2022, then he immediately is a liability - one dimensional with no downfield threat - then you have to go to MVB. Otherwise we are just hoping for opposing defenses to make a busted plan - even our TD yesterday was a busted play... should have been an INT by Tre-dez green broke it up and happened into Nic Andersons arms.

Great post.

He’s also putting the ball where his guy has best chance to get it. That’s not happening this year. Deep balls are short and inside.

Yeah it seems easy. If he’s hurt he needs to rest.

If he’s not hurt and not effective they need to at least give some series to a more mobile qb.

I member when everybody on here wanted Jayden Daniels to declare for the draft so Nuss could play.

The "33 Yard TD" to Jaray was a really impressive throw. Nuss threw it from the 40 and Jaray caught it 5 yds deep in the EZ. He basically flicked it 45 yds across his body.

I don't think Nuss could make that throw today. Just sayin.

Ya it is really baffling - I know he was in a situation there where he was basically playing with house money - but there is another throw he made to Mason Taylor in the 4th on a 3rd down - put it right over shoulder of a lineback who never turned around right where taylor could get it - very Burrow-esque - I havent seen Nuss do that 1x this whole season - something is off in 2025.

Myabe Kelly is just hellbent on zero-risk let hte defense carry the team, but kelly had to take his medicine then yesterday if this is the gameplan :|
