It’s clear the injury is impacting his throwing strength. Last year he would overthrow 50 yard passes. The coaching staff should have held him out for some of the weaker teams on the schedule. Now you are in a situation where this may linger all season and you almost have to make a QB change. I know Kelly kept saying he would heal up during the bye week but I doubt that’s even true.

One MVB's best attributes is the long ball. Guess who isn't playing next game .

Nuss plays scared and makes terrible decisions. It’s not just about the arm.

Nuss missed on two easy deep touchdowns yesterday that he would have clearly had the arm strength for last year. It’s silly for the coaching staff to lie and say he is suddenly better. If we can clearly see it then they can see it every day in practice

He definitely makes some poor decisions. The playing scared part I don’t really see. He has a d lineman in his face within a second or two every play

Most QBs would get positive yards running in those situations. How many did Nuss get? He’s scared

Nuss's biggest problem has always been between his ears. Very odd for the son of a coach, but his decision making is horrible.

He can't recognize coverage, his throws are more often than not behind his receiver because he's late, and the throws into triple coverage, my gosh it's horrible.

With the 3 man rush he can't read and recognize quick enough, then he's just plain scared to run.

LSU needs a leader in the huddle. I can't tell you if there is one on this team, but Nuss is not it.

Nuss has developed a dead arm and BK won’t pull him. This bears watching. Developing story

LSU’s offense has serious problems, (1) the offensive line is terrible, they couldn’t handle a 3 man front Saturday. They can’t run the ball. (2) Garret Nussmier has an obvious injury, he has no velocity on his throws, and he is making terrible decisions. (3) LSU needs to put Michael Vanburren in, he at least gives them a chance to move the ball with his legs against a 3 man front. The little we saw of him against SE his throws had velocity, were crisp, good spin rate and made good decisions. The problem is that will never happen under Brian Kelly. So where do we go from here?????
PS……I don’t think Joe Sloan is the offensive Co for this job!!

Then what would be the purpose of playing him against Southeastern then?

Unless he wasn't really injured.

Constantly underthrown balls = stiffness or pain

But the offense was just disjointed, timing was off and the players act like they have never practiced

Not just offense, the defense sucked yesterday too. The entire team looked unprepared.
