When are we, as a society, going to start opening our driver doors on motorcyclists

That drive through the middle lanes of traffic splitting cars acting like they are better than us?
Three times this week, traffic piled up at a light, a motorcyclist scoots through the middle lanes to get ahead. Not to mention when they do it while we’re all doing 65. I’ve had multiple tools on the interstate weave through while we’re all doing the speed limit or above.
These guys have a death wish, I’ve thought long and hard about either swerving into them or opening up my door to clothesline them and feign ignorance that I didn’t see them.
They are more entitled than regular bicyclists, they need to be taught a lesson. It’s time we all rise up in defiance of this bullshite

Isn't that legal in certain states.

Why does this make you so angry. You jealous? Just get a bike, then you too can split lanes in legal states.

The reality is lane filtering lowers the time for cars in traffic as well. Without lane splitting they just take up room a car could be in making the traffic jam longer. It is always initially disconcerting when I am in traffic in a legal state but that is short lived. You are trying to cut off your nose to spite your face.

Used to happen on I-10 in NOLA to motorcyclists doing this back in the 1970's. Traffic on I-10 from Kenner to downtown was much worse at rush hour.than today. The oilfield was booming like a mofo with engineers and staff out in the CBD out the wazoo for everything in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as offshore deals around the world

When you see them coming up from behind, turn on your blinker on the side they’re going to pass.
