Looking to get into Glide Bait / Hard Swim Bait fishing for bass.

Any of you Louisiana baws have any experience with this?
If so, have you had any success?
What baits are you using?

Any response would be appreciated.

I bought a bunch of these type baits when they got hot (like I normannly do). I like the way they look in the water and I've caught a few in a Toledo Bend on them. I keep 1 tied but I just don't lock it up as often as I should.

Louisiana man wins Big Bass Splash at Toledo Bend by one ounce

Sunday afternoon, fisherman Ryan Hanson of Bernice found out that an ounce of largemouth bass was worth $103,000.

Fish caught on a: PayDirt Ditch Donkey, a 7-inch glide bait.

Never used them but check out Donkey Bay swimbaits on facebook. Guy by the name of Mike Herrmann makes them in SELA for Fresh and inshore. He has an episode on the Speckled Truth Podcast that maybe worth a listen.

Last Christmas I received a $100 giftcard to Tacklewarehouse. I spent it all on a single glide bait. 2 days later I take it out and on about the 6th cast I had a follower. About 4lbs. I immediately stopped the bait thinking the fish would inhale it. Not so fast!. The fish just turned and swam away. Come to find out, the last thing you want to do is stop the bait. You need to speed it up to have a chance to get bit.

At the time I didn't have the right gear to fish it correctly. That has recently changed. ( Happy Birthday to me! ) I suspect that after a couple more cool fronts it will be Prime Glide Bait time.

I have a few that I got on Amazon, and 1 that’s made by 6th sense. The 6th sense one is the only one I’ve used so far. I’ve tried it at bussey, o h ivie and lake fork. Haven’t had any success with it, but I’m not giving up on it just yet.
