I didn't realize that we had set the record with 10 in the preseason poll, but here we are breaking our own record with us on top.

If only Florida hadn't crashed out, we would have 12! C'mon Gators, dragging the whole conference down. They're now in the same group as Arknasas, MS St., Vandy and Kentucky.

To note, Florida, MS St. and Vandy all received at least one vote... looking at you Vandy voter! LOL

I'm ready to be back in Tiger Stadium already.

Edited to add the article:

We probably should have 12.

Somehow USCe is ranked 11 after barely beating VT at home. Vandy beat that same VT team on the road by 3 touchdowns and isnt ranked.

The record for a conference having the most teams finishing ranked in the AP poll in one year is seven which the SEC has done five times and the Big Ten once.

SEC: 1999,2012,2013, 2018, 2024
Big Ten: 1999

That's right. In 1999 the SEC and the Big Ten both had seven teams that finished ranked in the final AP poll.
